As some of you may know, Microsoft removed the one-way webcam support in the latest Windows Live Messenger builds. This is because of compatibility with Windows Live Messenger 2010, the upcoming version of WLM. Here is a version of Windows Live Messenger which still has the one-way webcam support, so it does not require you to do a ‘video call’ which is two-way.

A few days ago I’ve updated the DailyBooth application, it had some bugs with the description field which are now fixed. Also the Pro version of the application is now in the market.
The Pro version only has the advertisements and the promotional text at the end of each booth removed. This is because I am waiting for DailyBooth to send me some more information about their API, however I still haven’t received an email after a week. Continue reading →
I’ve been busy lately, and had no time to post updates on this blog. However, I would like to update you on some things in this post.
DailyBooth for Android
I’ve got a request from DailyBooth to change the name of the application, so the application is now on the market as “BoothDroid”. They also said that there will be an API available soon, this means that there will be a complete rewrite of the application soon which will have a lot more features. Continue reading →

I finally got my HTC Desire so I started developing Android applications again. Debugging on a real phone is a lot faster than on the emulator
The application I developed this weekend is an application which enables you to take pictures and upload them to DailyBooth.com. It is now available in the Android market. Scan the barcode on the left to download it from the market.
I will develop a Pro version soon, which will have more features and no advertisements.
Due to my old mobile breaking and having my birthday next month I’m getting the HTC Desire begin April. The HTC Desire runs Android.
Android is an operating system mainly developed by Google and is being used by more smartphones every day. For a while I’ve been wanting to get into application developing for smartphones and because I’m now getting a smartphone with Android, I decided to write an Android application.
The application I wanted to write was for Dailybooth, and to connect with Dailybooth an HTTP connection is needed. As far as I know there aren’t any good classes which handle cookies, post requests (including files) and get requests so I decided to write one myself.
The HTTPClient stores the cookies. Because of this you will have to pass this along with every function. Furthermore the class is pretty much self-explanatory and you can view the example below to see how the class works.
This class uses libraries from Apache HTTPClient (download), so you have to add the following files to your build path:
- apache-mime4j-0.6.jar
- httpclient-4.1-alpha1.jar
- httpcore-4.1-alpha1.jar
- httpmime-4.1-alpha1.jar

A little while ago I’ve submitted my “Grooveshark Now Playing” plugin on MSGPlus.net and it finally got accepted. It’s now available on http://msgplus.net/scripts/view/606-Grooveshark-Now-Playing/. I also have requested to have some credits for a script I made in back in 2006 named “ContactSay”. Somewhere in 2007 some other people improved the script and released it under the name “USay”, however it replaced my “ContactSay” script and I never had any credits for it. Now they put my name at the page on MSGPlus.net.
In this release of Grooveshark Now Playing I’ve added support for all localized Windows versions. There is no need to edit the name of your Documents folder anymore. Nothing else has changed, so it’s just a really small upgrade.

Well, I recently bought a Xbox 360 and because we don’t have ethernet connections in this room I needed something to use the wireless network. The wireless adapter is pretty expensive so this is probably a better solution. In this tutorial I will explain how to bridge your wireless connection on your PC to pass through your internet connection to your Xbox. Continue reading →
I’ve created a Messenger Plus! Live plugin that shows the song that you are currently playing on the Grooveshark Desktop application. It will display the song in Windows Live Messenger like any other media player.
This plugin isn’t compatible with the webbased version of Grooveshark.
Click here (Right click > Save as) to download the plugin. (Messenger Plus! Live is required)
